Friday the 13th !!!

Gotta get those tides just right

Friday the 13th of April 2018 was actually uneventful and everything went to plan. We got married February 13th and we also had 13 guests to our evening reception so it has has sort of become our lucky number.

We delayed departure until 11am in order to benefit from a favourable tidal flow heading into Fowey.

Just as well as there was very little wind and all from the south-east so we motored the whole passage.

On the plus side our engine ticked along beautifully and we had no issues with propellers.

We arrived at Fowey an hour ahead of schedule and came alongside at the Mixtow Pill visitor pontoon (otherwise known as Penmarlam Quay).

OMG! Third time lucky. We were both very pleased and relieved to have completed stage 1 of our voyage.
