DISTANT DRUMMER HEAVENLY TWINS 27 CATAMARAN TOUR
AHOY! If you enjoyed having a nosy around the boat then why not read the backstory? Six Boats is a sailing yarn in which the seven-year-old me learns to sail in a home-built dinghy and goes on to compete against Olympic champions! Several boats, and many adventures later, I find myself living aboard a Heavenly Twins 27 catamaran in Falmouth harbour. How this did metamorphosis happen? Read on.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0D9C6W3QG/ref=sr_1_1?crid=ZYR1ZXAFUM4Y Distant Drummer is now sold. Our ocean adventures are over for the time being but we are still adventuring on land spending nights under canvas and exploring the great outdoors in our campervan which has kind of become a boat substitute! Thank you for your interest and a special thank you to David Morris, our brilliant yacht broker. If you are looking for a boat he always has a great selection from cruising yachts to motor boats. https://www.davidmorrisboats.co.uk/ We have sailed the high seas aboard Distant Drummer, our beautiful Heavenly Twins catamaran, for the past five years trying to boldly sail where many have sailed before. Now it’s time for a new crew to continue the adventure. https://sailingdistantdrum.wixsite.com/website

DODGE THAT FERRY! Film 4 Eastbourne to Tollesbury
In this final of four films documenting the voyage of Distant Drummer from Cornwall to the Essex coast we get a wave from a seal, sail in the wake of William the Conqueror, get the green light at Dover and park DD next to a Norman castle. We also walk through through the channel tunnel, explore Folkestone, dodge several ferries and enjoy a whistlestop at Ramsgate before heading out across the shallow, shifting sands of the Thames estuary. We sail up the Blackwater and paint our faces with local mud to celebrate the completion of our epic voyage.
