Port Pendennis
Nicola and Robin will be voyaging from Falmouth in Cornwall to the Essex salt flats. We will be on-board Distant Drummer, our Heavenly Twins 27 catamaran stopping off at various marinas, ports and anchorages along the south coast including Fowey, Poole, the Isle of Wight, Dover and Ramsgate to name a few. It will be an epic voyage of discovery over several hundred miles and we are both very excited about it!
Helford River anchorage
We have lived aboard for nearly three years in Falmouth and have learnt lots about boat life and found some amazing places such as the Helford River. Distant Drummer is our home but is also about to become our ocean-going yacht as we venture eastwards to our new home on the Essex coast.
So between now and departure it's the logistics of provisions, car moving and making sure we are as ship-shape as we can be. We'd also like to send a big thank you to everyone at Port Pendennis marina for all their support and friendship during our time there. They really are the friendliest marina in the South West.
